Post 131: Plastic Cosmetics by Xia Xue (Magnetic Lashes)

Hello everyone! How's everyone doing? I hope all of you are doing well as of now Phase 2 started last week, I think everyone back to work/school, busy meeting up with friends after a long Circuit Breaker. 😷😷


Let me talk story a bit, please bare with me 😁 Whenever I scroll my IG, I will see a few sponsored post about magnetic lashes from USA? or UK (not sure) Looks so tempted to get a pair. You know, postage won't be cheap so forget about it.

Right before CB started, I went to the lash saloon just to get my extension done and till today, I still have a few strands on both eyes 😅

Anyway, right before I came to SG for work, I used to love putting on falsies. I would go pasar malam (if you are a Malaysian, I'm sure you know what I'm saying 😌) to get one box with I think 10 pairs? or go SASA store.
I think.... back then eyelash extension wasn't that common OR maybe I never even heard of it till I came to SG. After I came to SG, after a year or so, I've decided to give eyelash extension a try. And WOW! I'm in love with it 😍😍 like excuse me, you wake up with beautiful lashes, going out with brows and lashes. Easy Peasy!

While my lashes gonna be naked for another days/weeks/months, my friend found out a way to still look beautiful when we meet up 😂😜

Magnetic Lashes.

They will provide you a magnetic eyeliner, wait to dry and pop those lashes on and you are ready to go 😎

XiaXue has her own brand of magnetic lashes. (if I'm wrong, please forgive me) So I was excited to give it a try, how much would that be for postage right since is within SG?

 (I will provide all details at the end of this post)

As from their website, they did mentioned above, 'PRE-ORDER DELIVERIES WILL TAKE ABOUT 12 - 14 DAYS TO ARRIVE'

I purchase one of their Pre-Order lashes.
Received email: 'Order Confirmed' - 6th June; 1238am.
Received email: 'on the way' - 21st June; 0915pm
Received text message: 'out for delivery' - 23rd June (today); 0106pm

FINALLY arrived to my doorstep 🙌

Magnetic lashes kit comes with:

- Three pairs of magnetic lashes
- One tube of of magnetic eyeliner 
- One rose gold tweezer 

My first impression seeing this eyeliner in a tube, I had a bad feeling about it. My go-to eyeliner is always WATERPROOF Pen Eyeliner so let's see how

✓ Smudge-proof 

✓ Water-proof 

As you can see the second video, I continuously rubbing it, it became like rubber dust. I'm just sharing. 😆

I used water base and oil base make up remover, quite difficult to remove

the part where I zoomed in, are the magnets

I'm trimming off the outer corner, right before the magnet.

I applied thin layer of eyeliner , just want to try out their magnetic lashes

As you can see, you will see two layers of lashes (my lashes & magnetic lashes) What you can do is, you could use an eyelash curler, apply mascara, apply the magnetic eyeliner then you stick on the lashes, use the eyelash curler again to press on so that you won't see two lines.

This was how it look. Actually was kind of nice thou.

SO, let me sum up how I feel about this Magnetic Lashes
The person who invented this, its amazing 👍👍

✓ Smudge-proof
✓ Water-proof
⇾ Fuss Free. Easy application
⇾ Ultra wispy lashes to give extra flutter
⇾ 7 available styles.
⇾ Reuse as many times as you want

I'm quite amaze with these magnetic lashes. If I would put it on to work or hanging out with friends, I would prefer going for eyelash extension instead.
One thing I don't like about Magnetic Lashes, there are not lightweight and I can feel the lashes are on my eyes just like using falsies. Whereas, for extension, are lightweight and doesn't feel anything.

If I would compare magnetic lashes and eyelash extensions. There are pros and cons for both. It depends on individual.

If you want a healthy looking lashes, apply mascara and ready to go. If you want a little drama, then go for falsies or magnetic lashes so that your real lashes won't fall with the falsies and magnetic lashes. Whereas for extensions, it will weaken your actual lashes and will fall together with the extension.
The most important point is, HYGIENE. Using falsies and magnetic lashes can clean your eyelids easily up down left right 😂 However, for extension, you can only use water base or gel base remover. Why? Is because oil base may cause some extension fall easily. When you are cleaning, need to be gentle.

For me, When I have extension on for work, I will need to apply eyeshadows (no eyeliner), I have to remove a few times and cleanse at least 3 times, then use cotton buds to remove any excess.
If you do not know, I’m a contact lens user. It’s so important to be hygienic especially for your eyes when it comes to removing make up with extension on. So really depends on individual what kind of effect and which is comfortable for you. 😉😊


PS: I would recommend to those who is newbies to make up thou because it’s easy to apply 👍
